Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Shift: Must be available for weekends and extended shifts (including 10- or 12-hour days as required)
A skilled HVAC Technician is needed to support operations in a high-performance manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience and strong technical knowledge in industrial systems.
Respond to and resolve issues related to production equipment and facility utilities.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, including calibration, cleaning, and component overhauls.
Fabricate and repair mechanical parts using shop equipment (lathes, mills, welding, drill presses).
Use SAP or similar CMMS systems to log work, generate tasks, and complete maintenance records.
Train operators on basic equipment operation, inspection, and maintenance procedures.
Support TPM/Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute maintenance work accurately.
Maintain strong communication and teamwork with technicians, operators, and leadership.
High School Diploma + 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
OR
Associate’s Degree + 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
OR
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
NFPA 70E / Arc Flash Training
3rd Grade Boiler License
Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Experience with AC/DC drives, PLCs, and electrical control systems
Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Understanding of electrical codes and NFPA standards
Ability to read machine/electrical blueprints and perform wiring/diagnostics
Experience using test instruments: multimeters, meggers, etc.
Knowledge of LOTO, Arc Flash protocols, and other safety procedures
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, self-managed environment
Continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to maintenance and operations
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
Flexible to work extended shifts and weekends per operational needs
Demonstrated reliability and accountability in a high-paced environment
