A school-based program is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person therapy services to students with communicative disorders. This role supports students with special needs to achieve their maximum potential in the areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice. The therapist will collaborate with educators and families, and ensure compliance with Medicaid billing documentation for eligible students.
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech-language disorders among K-12 students.
Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and district standards.
Maintain thorough documentation, including Medicaid billing records where applicable.
Collaborate with educational staff and families to ensure student success.
Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed based on data and observations.
Participate in IEP meetings, school team planning, and district trainings as required.
Maintain ethical and professional standards in line with state licensure and district policy.
Active North Carolina SLP License
Current or pending North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) certification
Strong understanding of speech-language pathology within school-aged populations
Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills
Experience with Medicaid documentation is preferred
