Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse
Schedule: 40 Hours/week
Shifts: 0700–1730 or 0800–1830
On-Call: Required in rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
Safety Requirements: Use of lead apron required
Location: Hyannis, MA
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Cath Lab RN required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
Current Massachusetts RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must maintain)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must maintain)
Successful completion of pharmacology exam
Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam
Moderate sedation training within 6 months of hire
Must have 2 years of telemetry experience
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
Delivers patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administers medications and monitors patient responses. Leads and supports the care team in delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with hospital policy and standards. Ensures optimal customer service for all patients and stakeholders.
Demonstrate proficiency in nursing documentation
Serve as a resource for staff regarding patient care, orientation, and education
Attend at least four unit staff meetings per year and all mandatory training
Participate in quality improvement processes and evaluation of care
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
Assess and maintain personal and professional development
Stay updated on relevant patient care techniques and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
