Job Title - School‑Based Speech‑Language Pathologist (Early Childhood)

Location: Aurora, CO 80011 (singlesite placement)

Weekly Hours: 37.5 billable hours / Monday – Friday

Staff Schedule: 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM (students attend MonThu; Fridays reserved for planning & paperwork)

Shift: Structure Day shift (5 × 7.5 hours) • Alternate internal schedules available (e.g., 7:303:30 or 8:004:00)

Contract: Length 40 weeks (20252026 school year)

Rate: $59/HR 

Position Summary

Join an early‑childhood team (ages 3‑5) providing comprehensive speech‑language services within a public‑school setting. This role focuses on assessment, IEP development, and direct/consultative therapy for preschool scholars in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech‑language evaluations and write compliant reports.

  • Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Deliver group and individual therapy aligned with state and district standards.

  • Collaborate with teachers, related‑service staff, and families.

  • Maintain accurate service logs, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and progress notes.

  • Use non‑student Fridays for paperwork, planning, and team meetings.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, professional development, and family conferences.

Required Credentials

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) – required.

  • Colorado State SLP License – active or in‑process.

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License – active or pending.

Preferred Experience

  • 5 + years of school‑based SLP practice (higher bill rate considered).

  • Familiarity with IDEA compliance, early‑childhood development, and play‑based therapy approaches.
