Title - Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Various Hospital Locations – New Jersey
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week | Day Shift
Contract Type: Full-Time, Contract Assignment

Overview:
We’re hiring a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join a high-performing imaging team in New Jersey. This contract opportunity involves performing a variety of sonographic procedures including abdominal, portable, and guided interventions. Strong experience with ultrasound imaging technology, patient care, and real-time image interpretation is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound scans according to established protocols and timelines.

  • Operate portable ultrasound machines and assist physicians with biopsies and special procedures.

  • Prepare patients for exams and position them accurately based on anatomical requirements.

  • Evaluate sonographic images for quality and diagnostic value.

  • Document findings using EMR systems and maintain accurate imaging records.

  • Clean and calibrate ultrasound equipment and replenish required supplies.

  • Educate and mentor new staff and students as needed.

  • Deliver excellent, age-sensitive care and communicate clearly with patients and families.

  • Work rotating shifts including weekends or call assignments as scheduled.

  • Comply with all institutional policies on safety, conduct, infection control, and AIDET standards.

Required Credentials:

  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.

  • RDMS certification is mandatory.

  • Valid CPR certification required.

  • Strong grasp of cross-sectional anatomy and patient safety practices.

  • Proficiency in using PACS, EMR, and ultrasound reporting tools.

  • Able to lift and move patients and equipment safely.
