Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist (Contract Role)

Duration: 5+ Months (Contract with Potential Extension)
Shift: 3x12.5 Hour Shifts | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Hours per Week: 37.5
Pay Rate: $55–$60/hr (W2)
We are currently seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in The Woodlands, TX. This is a contract opportunity within a fast-paced cardiac care environment, ideal for candidates with strong technical and clinical skills.
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
Prepare the cath lab with sterile instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
Monitor patient vitals and record real-time procedure data.
Uphold strict sterile technique and follow infection control protocols.
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
Provide pre-procedure patient preparation and obtain informed consent.
Ensure all cath lab equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
Respond to emergency situations including code events as needed.
Complete accurate post-procedure documentation.
Work collaboratively with nurses, technologists, and physicians to deliver optimal patient care.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular or Radiologic Technology (or related field).
ARRT or RCIS certification preferred.
State licensure, as applicable.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain).
1–3 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab preferred.
In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress, emergency situations.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Proficient with imaging systems, monitors, and cath lab equipment.
High attention to detail and strict adherence to protocols.
Clinical setting within a hospital or outpatient cardiovascular lab.
Exposure to radiation and bloodborne pathogens.
Physical demands include standing for long periods and wearing lead protective gear.
