Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician
Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Shift Options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation: $70–$80 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician for a 13-week assignment at a well-established medical facility located in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a patient-focused attitude to a dynamic team.
Oversee Nuclear Lab operations including equipment testing and patient preparation.
Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Educate patients and families on procedures and expectations.
Start and maintain IVs; manage placement of EKG electrodes, IV pumps, chest tubes, and monitors.
Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of physician orders.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), PACS, and maintain high image quality.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, radiologists, and other team members.
Participate in patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.
Lead and support staff and students in a structured team environment.
Act as a senior technologist as needed, providing mentorship and support.
Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Licenses/Certifications:
ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist)
NMTCB Certification (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
Proficient in both acute care and outpatient/clinic settings.
Strong IV and patient care skills.
Knowledge of medical imaging systems and EMRs.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured environment.
Clear, professional communication and organizational skills.
