Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician
Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Shift Options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Compensation: $70–$80 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician for a 13-week assignment at a well-established medical facility located in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a patient-focused attitude to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Nuclear Lab operations including equipment testing and patient preparation.

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.

  • Educate patients and families on procedures and expectations.

  • Start and maintain IVs; manage placement of EKG electrodes, IV pumps, chest tubes, and monitors.

  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of physician orders.

  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), PACS, and maintain high image quality.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, radiologists, and other team members.

  • Participate in patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and support staff and students in a structured team environment.

  • Act as a senior technologist as needed, providing mentorship and support.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

  • Licenses/Certifications:

    • ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist)

    • NMTCB Certification (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in both acute care and outpatient/clinic settings.

  • Strong IV and patient care skills.

  • Knowledge of medical imaging systems and EMRs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured environment.

  • Clear, professional communication and organizational skills.
