Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Sunday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $64.00/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join a high-performing imaging team in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in MRI imaging, cross-sectional anatomy, and patient safety, while demonstrating compassionate patient care and adherence to imaging protocols.

Required Education:

  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics

  • Excellent technical proficiency in MRI imaging procedures

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to evaluate images for quality and accuracy

  • Effective communication and patient education skills

Required Certifications/Licenses:

  • New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology

  • A.R.R.T. MRI Registry

  • BCLS Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with departmental standards

  • Accurately position patients and coils to ensure optimal image quality

  • Provide clear instructions and education to patients about the procedure

  • Review and assess MRI safety screening forms before scanning

  • Ensure images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner

  • Complete studies and patient records in IDX Radiology Information System efficiently

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment

  • Monitor and restock necessary supplies and accessories

  • Accurately record and manage patient tracking and scheduling in IDX

  • Scan and attach relevant patient documentation as needed
