Position Details:
Day Shift (8 hrs)
Monday–Friday
35 hrs/week guaranteed
Contract: [e.g., 13 weeks]
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Promote residents’ independence in daily living through therapeutic activities and support.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress in alignment with established care goals and regulatory standards.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive therapy environment.
Qualifications:
• Active South Carolina licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
