Description: A well-established government-related organization is hiring an IT Portfolio Manager to oversee a series of high-level technology projects. Reporting to the PMO, this role ensures coordinated delivery, optimized resource usage, and strategic alignment of initiatives involving cloud adoption, enterprise platforms, and data security.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of related IT projects within a unified program structure.
Develop and execute program planning, scope, and risk mitigation strategies.
Interface with senior leadership and operational stakeholders.
Track and manage resource usage, budget allocations, and progress metrics.
Address escalations and promote resolution across teams.
Provide detailed documentation and program health updates.
Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing IT portfolios or large programs.
PMP or PgMP preferred.
Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and blended project management styles.
Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in regulated or government environments highly desirable.
