Position Overview:

Seeking a reliable and skilled Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a dynamic Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an acute care or emergency setting and be able to support patient care functions in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nursing staff with basic patient care tasks such as bathing, feeding, ambulation, and vital signs

  • Support emergency room operations by preparing rooms, equipment, and transporting patients

  • Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies within the unit

  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care

  • Document activities and observations in the electronic medical record system

  • Provide compassionate and professional care in high-pressure situations


Schedule Details:

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Weekends: Not required

  • All orientation hours are billable

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Certified Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant (CNA/PCT) preferred

  • Previous experience in a hospital or emergency department setting strongly preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced, emergency scenarios
