Position Overview:

A highly specialized opportunity for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in a pediatric and neonatal intensive care setting. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care for critically ill infants and children in a high-acuity hospital environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU and PICU

  • Assist in the management of ventilator-dependent patients and high-risk respiratory cases

  • Perform assessments, administer treatments, and document patient responses

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and specialists

  • Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotations

  • Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory policies


Schedule Details:

  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • On-Call: Required – three on-call shifts within each 6-week period (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM)


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active CRT or RRT License in the state of South Carolina

  • Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Children’s Hospital NICU and PICU setting

  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced ventilator management and respiratory therapies in neonates and pediatric patients

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills


Additional Information:

  • Must have significant experience specifically in neonatal and pediatric critical care

  • Experience in general adult care does not meet the requirement for this position

  • Candidates must be ready to function independently in a fast-paced children's hospital setting
