Job Title: CT Scan Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Compensation:

  • Local: $2,500 – $2,600/week

  • Travel: $2,600 – $2,800/week

Required Certifications (Must be Active Prior to Start):

  • ARRT (CT) Certification

  • BLS (AHA) Certification

  • Knowledge of PACS Systems

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience on Siemens equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex CT procedures using established protocols and best practices

  • Exercise professional judgment when obtaining and reviewing patients’ clinical history

  • Ensure accurate documentation and scanning of patient information into PACS

  • Review and complete contrast media questionnaires with patients or their family

  • Administer contrast media as prescribed by a licensed provider

  • Confirm prescription accuracy and appropriateness of CT exams

  • Communicate with radiologists and referring physicians to clarify or update prescriptions as needed

  • Verify exam authorizations and coordinate with finance for any insurance re-verifications

  • Retrieve and schedule external imaging studies in EPIC for comparison by radiologists

  • Provide exam copies to patients, referring physicians, or family as needed

  • Review image quality and ensure proper identification through PACS system

  • Use sound judgment in patient safety and scanning protocol preparation

  • Evaluate patient readiness for the procedure and use appropriate shielding and positioning techniques

  • Administer the correct contrast type and dosage when indicated

  • Offer clear, compassionate communication and instructions tailored to each patient’s needs

  • Accurately document patient questions or concerns related to the exam
