Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum
Location: Ithaca, NY
Job Type: 13-week contract
Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts/week)
Weekly Hours: 36
Pay: $2,268 – $2,340 per week
Job Duties:
Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care during all stages of labor and postpartum
Monitor maternal and fetal health, quickly addressing any issues or complications
Assist physicians and midwives with delivery procedures
Support and educate new mothers and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding
Document all care and interactions accurately using Epic EHR
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to create and follow individualized care plans
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and healthcare regulations
Requirements:
Active RN license in New York State
At least 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
Proficiency in using Epic electronic health records
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
