Registered Nurse – Med-Surg/Telemetry - RNMS25-25084

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med-Surg/Telemetry
Work Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 17-week contract
Shift Timing: Day Shift / Night Shift (2 Shifts Open) | 12-hour shifts | 3 days/week (36 hours/week)
Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays required
Pay:

Travel Rate: $66/hr. 
Local Rate: $57.20/hr.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within past 2 years)
• Experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma center highly desired
• Valid NY State RN license
• BLS certification (must be current or able to be recertified)
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Ability to read telemetry, start IVs, and draw labs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a med/surg telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Start IV lines and perform blood draws as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate individualized care plans
• Document all patient care in EPIC EMR system
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives
• Maintain a high standard of care with minimal supervision
