Position Overview:

Seeking a qualified Cath Lab Tech to join a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab. The role involves scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills and works effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of Cath Lab experience required

  • First-Timers Accepted: Yes, with a minimum of 2 years scrubbing and monitoring in a Cath Lab

  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS

  • Licensure: Pending license accepted

  • On-Call Requirement: Approximately one weekday per week and every 4th–5th weekend (including occasional Sundays)

  • Weekend Requirement: On-call, as noted above

  • Floating: Within scope, as needed

  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

  • Guaranteed Hours: Up to 3 shift cancellations permitted per assignment without penalty. On-call hours do not apply to guarantee.

Work Setting Experience Required:

  • Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab

  • Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab

Procedure Experience Required:

  • Cardiac stent placement

  • Diagnostic catheterizations (adult)

  • Hemodynamic monitoring

  • IABP placement/removal

  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias

  • Left & right heart catheterizations

  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)

  • PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty)

  • Pulmonary Artery (PA) line insertion

  • Scrubbing and maintaining sterile field

  • Temporary pacemaker procedures

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Accurate monitoring

  • Equipment setup

  • EKG lead placement

  • Vascular access site preparation

  • Recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias

  • Room circulation and scrub tech support

  • Use of vascular closure systems
