Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit on a 13-week travel contract. This night shift position involves providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients using scientific nursing principles. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and is flexible to float between facilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients with medical and post-surgical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring.

  • Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms, responding appropriately to changes.

  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with diagnostic procedures as prescribed.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.

  • Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes.

  • Float between assigned facilities based on staffing needs.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts (or eligible for compact license).

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting.

  • Prior travel nursing experience required.

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).

  • Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
