Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)
Location: Bronx, NY
Local Pay Rate: $70 – $72 per hour
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery Unit for a 13-week night shift contract in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum

• Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vital signs

• Administer medications, including those used for conscious sedation

• Assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries

• Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and manage pre/post-procedure care

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and neonatal care providers

• Adhere to infection control standards and patient safety protocols

• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent labor & delivery experience in an acute care setting

• Proficient in maternal-child nursing, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and sedation protocols

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and emotionally intense environments

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Required Credentials:

• Active New York State RN License (verified)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
