Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our skilled nursing facility in Gettysburg, PA. This role is crucial to ensuring the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all nursing staff and clinical operations within the facility.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility-specific regulations and standards of care.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Supervise and support hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of nursing personnel.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee infection control, risk management, and patient safety programs.
  • Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Align nursing services with the facility's mission and resident care goals.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License – Active and in good standing (Required)
  • BLS Certification – Required
  • COVID-19 Vaccination – Required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience (ADON or similar role preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of CMS, DOH, and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience in staff development, audits, and care planning
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, infection control protocols, and QAPI initiatives
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
