Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Location: Rochester, NY 14621
Shift: Day Shift — Friday (7:30 AM–8:00 PM), Saturday & Sunday (6:00 AM–6:30 PM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks (High potential for extension)

Pay: $2,635/week

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join a patient-focused imaging team in Rochester, NY. This contract opportunity involves working long-weekend day shifts and offers the chance to support a dynamic clinical environment that serves a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic radiologic procedures including portable, fluoroscopy, OR, and trauma imaging as needed.

  • Accurately position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure.

  • Communicate procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and emotional support throughout.

  • Assist patients with mobility or critical conditions such as fractures, post-operative status, or pediatric needs.

  • Maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring calibration and reporting any technical issues promptly.

  • Apply ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles.

  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to prioritize and perform urgent imaging studies.

  • Input and manage imaging data in PACS and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • ARRT (R) Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

  • Active NY State Radiologic Technologist License

  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)

  • Proficiency with Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR)

  • Solid knowledge of human anatomy, image positioning, and radiation safety protocols

  • Strong communication skills and patient-centered care approach

  • Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments and operating rooms
