Compensation:

  • Travel Pay: $2,563.00 per week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in MRI procedures, prioritize patient safety, and ensure high-quality imaging through proficient operation and maintenance of MRI equipment. This is a full-time contract position with evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough MRI safety screenings and patient interviews prior to imaging procedures.

  • Verify patient identity using two approved identifiers.

  • Clearly communicate MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring their comfort.

  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, selecting appropriate protocols and technical settings.

  • Maintain safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors within the MRI suite.

  • Position patients correctly and utilize immobilization devices when necessary to optimize imaging quality.

  • Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.

  • Clean and maintain MRI scanners and exam rooms in accordance with hygiene and safety protocols.

  • Perform routine image quality checks and equipment calibration tests; report malfunctions promptly.

  • Manage imaging supply inventory and coordinate restocking as needed.

  • Review MRI images for quality, accuracy, and proper documentation.

  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document procedures and access patient information.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging results and patient interactions.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on MRI experience with relevant equipment.

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

  • Advanced MRI Certification from one of the following:

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or

    • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

Preferred Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
