Local Pay: $2,062.50 per week
Travel Pay: $2,563.00 per week
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Brooklyn, NY. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in MRI procedures, prioritize patient safety, and ensure high-quality imaging through proficient operation and maintenance of MRI equipment. This is a full-time contract position with evening shifts.
Conduct thorough MRI safety screenings and patient interviews prior to imaging procedures.
Verify patient identity using two approved identifiers.
Clearly communicate MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring their comfort.
Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, selecting appropriate protocols and technical settings.
Maintain safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors within the MRI suite.
Position patients correctly and utilize immobilization devices when necessary to optimize imaging quality.
Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Clean and maintain MRI scanners and exam rooms in accordance with hygiene and safety protocols.
Perform routine image quality checks and equipment calibration tests; report malfunctions promptly.
Manage imaging supply inventory and coordinate restocking as needed.
Review MRI images for quality, accuracy, and proper documentation.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document procedures and access patient information.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging results and patient interactions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on MRI experience with relevant equipment.
Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).
Advanced MRI Certification from one of the following:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
