Job Title: BEST Program Technical Trainer
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite at various agency locations – travel required)
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Technical Trainers to support the statewide implementation of a new cloud-based financial management system. The system includes modules such as Core Financials, Expenses, Grants Management, Project Management, and Billing. Trainers will be responsible for developing and delivering effective training to ensure successful user adoption across more than 150 agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging training content, materials, and job aids tailored to adult learners.
Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy.
Manage training logistics, including scheduling, setup, and attendance tracking.
Support users before, during, and after system go-live.
Create multimedia content (videos, walkthroughs, tutorials).
Participate in software testing to ensure training alignment with the system.
Provide updates on training progress and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, IT, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in training delivery and development.
Strong facilitation and communication skills.
Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Experience with tools like Captivate, Camtasia, Snagit, or Storyline.
Ability to manage multiple training initiatives independently.
Willingness to travel throughout Massachusetts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large IT system implementations or financial systems.
Familiarity with financial processes like Chart of Accounts, Grants, GAAP, Procurement, and Billing.
Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Ability to assess and improve training effectiveness.
