Position Title: Travel Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Blood Bank
Location: New York
Shift: Overnight | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day)
Pay: $2,600 – $2,700 per week

Position Overview:

A respected healthcare facility in New York is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist with strong experience in Blood Bank/Transfusion Services. This 13-week travel assignment is ideal for professionals who thrive in overnight settings and are committed to high-quality patient care and laboratory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform immunohematology procedures including blood typing, antibody screening, and cross-matching
• Prepare and issue blood components per established protocols and clinical requirements
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of laboratory test results in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards
• Adhere to quality control procedures and compliance guidelines
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues on laboratory instruments and equipment

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License – Required
• Primary Source Verification of licensure – Required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Blood Bank or Transfusion Services setting – Required
• BLS Certification – Preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight shifts
