Position Title: Medical Dosimetrist
Location: Elmhurst, NY (Hybrid)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Assignment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and calculate external beam radiation treatments, including 3D Conformal, IMRT, VMAT, and Brachytherapy
Verify accurate dose delivery in alignment with physician prescriptions
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
Operate and maintain radiation oncology equipment with a focus on safety and precision
Support radiation therapists and oversee dosimetry workflow as needed
Ensure adherence to QA protocols, radiation safety regulations, and equipment calibration standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in dosimetry
Proficiency with MOSAIQ (oncology information system) and Pinnacle (treatment planning system)
Strong understanding of radiation safety, quality assurance, patient care, and clinical operations
