Position Overview:

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide LOA coverage in a school-based setting. The position will focus on working with students in pre-8th grade and transition programs, with COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) support available. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational environments and a passion for working with children and adolescents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions to students with developmental, physical, and emotional challenges.

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services in classrooms, therapy rooms, and community-based settings.

  • Work closely with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress and independence.

  • Document services and maintain compliance with state, district, and federal regulations.

  • Supervise and collaborate with a COTA for service delivery.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in ColoradoRequired

  • Previous school-based OT experiencePreferred

  • Knowledge of IEP processes and school documentation requirements – Strongly Preferred

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong time management and ability to work independently
