Assignment Duration: 16 Weeks
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide LOA coverage in a school-based setting. The position will focus on working with students in pre-8th grade and transition programs, with COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) support available. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational environments and a passion for working with children and adolescents.
Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions to students with developmental, physical, and emotional challenges.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide direct and consultative OT services in classrooms, therapy rooms, and community-based settings.
Work closely with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress and independence.
Document services and maintain compliance with state, district, and federal regulations.
Supervise and collaborate with a COTA for service delivery.
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Colorado – Required
Previous school-based OT experience – Preferred
Knowledge of IEP processes and school documentation requirements – Strongly Preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong time management and ability to work independently
Coverage Type: Leave of Absence (LOA)
Caseload: Students in Pre-K through 8th grade, including transition programs
Support: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5-hour days
