We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Thornton, Colorado. In this role, you will work with a diverse student population, including those in homebound settings, out-of-district placements, and students enrolled in Independence Academy, providing critical speech and language support services.
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with communication disorders in educational settings.
Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district policies.
Deliver services across a variety of placements including homebound and specialized programs.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team assessments.
Provide consultation and support for classroom modifications and communication strategies.
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Active Colorado SLP license and/or Colorado Department of Education (CDE) SLP certification (as required by school-based practice).
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates may be considered with strong references.
Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills.
