Registered Nurse- MICU Travel - RNMT 25-23928

Job Title: Registered Nurse- MICU
Location: Rochester, NY 14621 ( Travel contract  Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted)
Shift:  Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Duration: 13 Weeks (with high potential for extension)

Pay: $ 2383.92 per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and telemetry data, responding to changes promptly.
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and manage ventilators/other life-support equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop/implement individualized care plans.
• Perform advanced procedures (e.g., IV insertion, arterial line monitoring, code blue response).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-ICU care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, compliant environment.

Required Skills:

• Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in critical care nursing, including hemodynamic monitoring and emergency interventions.
• Communication: Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and teams.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to prioritize rapidly in high-stress situations.
• Technical Skills: Experience with EMRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner), ventilators, and ICU equipment.

Required Certifications and Licensure:

Active RN License: NY

BLS & ACLS : Current certifications from the AHA.

Preferred: CCRN or PCCN certification (if you have it).
