Job Title: RN – Critical Care – Adult PACU (Nights)

Schedule: 3 Days/Week
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay: $60 to $68 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position in the Adult Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Downtown Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have recent critical care experience, preferably with PACU exposure, and the ability to provide excellent nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for adult patients
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and deliver patient care with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records system (preferred)
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery phase

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN License
• BLS Certification (current and able to be recertified)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience within the past 2 years
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
