We are currently seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (ED RNs) to join a dynamic and fast-paced emergency care team. ED RNs in this role must be prepared to handle a broad range of emergency medical situations for patients of all ages. This position is ideal for nurses with a passion for acute care, critical thinking, and high-impact decision-making.
Rapidly and accurately assess incoming patients with physical or mental health conditions.
Prioritize patient care based on severity and urgency of medical needs.
Deliver specialized care for high-acuity conditions, including stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases.
Provide trauma care in a high-volume setting, with the ability to manage up to 20 stroke cases per shift.
Adapt to fluctuating caseloads in a department that may reach up to 220 patients per day.
Float within various areas of the emergency department including Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and Intermediate Care (IMC) as needed.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
Strong experience handling stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients.
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Active New Jersey RN License or Compact State RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Telemetry Certification
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
Completion of 4-Hour Stroke CEU
Additional certifications beyond those listed above are welcome but not required.
