Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (HSD) required

Certification Required:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join a dynamic healthcare team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ensuring the highest quality of patient care and imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and verify patient identity for ultrasound exams, review health history, and assess patient condition and cooperation.

  • Ensure ultrasound exams align with patient clinical history; notify supervising physician of any contraindications.

  • Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment, performing minor maintenance and reporting issues as necessary.

  • Clearly communicate with patients, their representatives, and medical staff; provide exam explanations and respond to general questions.

  • Develop and modify procedure plans based on patient age, gender, and medical history; use clinical judgment to ensure optimal imaging.

  • Perform diagnostic exams under physician supervision and adjust scanning techniques as needed for image quality and diagnostic accuracy.

  • Conduct detailed sonographic analysis to support diagnosis and patient care planning; perform measurements according to protocol.

  • Minimize acoustic exposure without compromising image quality.

  • Notify healthcare providers of urgent medical issues; assess patient condition before discharge from the ultrasound area.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in diagnostic medical sonography

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
