Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large-scale, mission-critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience with network protocols, enterprise hardware, and monitoring tools, and be comfortable working in fast-paced environments that demand high availability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (wired, wireless, and cloud-connected).

  • Provide operational support and after-hours troubleshooting as needed.

  • Maintain network hardware inventory and documentation.

  • Coordinate with service providers including Verizon, Spectrum, and FirstNet.

  • Support internal and external agency networking needs.

  • Maintain Starlink infrastructure and connectivity.

  • Monitor network performance and ensure secure, scalable operations.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Note: Candidates who do not meet all mandatory qualifications will not be considered.

  • 8+ years of total professional work experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or infrastructure support.

  • Proficient in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DHCP, DNS.

  • Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).

  • Familiarity with network tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, and Wireshark.

  • Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPNs.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • Comfortable working under pressure in dynamic environments.
