Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Public Safety / 911 Systems

A major public initiative in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in public safety and emergency communication systems. This role involves overseeing mission-critical projects supporting 911 infrastructure and related technologies. Candidates with prior experience managing high-impact government or public sector technology projects—particularly those involving New York-based agencies—are strongly encouraged to apply.
Lead full-cycle project management for public safety and 911 technology initiatives
Coordinate across emergency response departments (Police, Fire, EMS), internal IT teams, and third-party vendors
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and public safety compliance standards
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and escalation procedures
Foster collaboration among technical and operational stakeholders
Provide clear and consistent reporting to leadership, including status updates, presentations, and documentation
8+ years of project management experience, with a focus on public safety or emergency communication systems
Demonstrated success managing 911 systems, emergency communications infrastructure, or public safety IT platforms
Prior experience working with or within New York-based public sector agencies is highly preferred
Proficient in project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), NG911, or radio network technologies
Experience with government contracting, procurement, and vendor oversight
Familiarity with public safety frameworks and regulatory requirements in New York State
