Job Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse
Location: Gastonia, NC
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Job Summary:
An experienced Electrophysiology (EP) RN is needed for a 13-week travel assignment at a high-acuity cardiac care facility in Gastonia, NC. The nurse will assist with a wide range of procedures including EP studies (simple and complex), device implants, lead revisions, and loop implant/explants. No call is required for this role.
Assist in a variety of EP procedures: EP studies, LAAO, device implants/extractions, lead revisions, and loop implants/explants
Monitor and assess patients throughout procedures
Administer medications and manage IVs
Operate and troubleshoot specialized EP and cath lab equipment
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the broader care team
Maintain accurate records and comply with safety protocols
Active RN license (Compact or NC)
Minimum 2 years of recent EP Lab experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
Proficiency with procedures such as LAAO, device extraction, and mapping systems
Experience using the following equipment:
Plum 360 IV pumps
X-ray systems: Philips, Siemens
Bracco/ACIST injectors
IABP Arrow/Teleflex
Phillips IntraSight IVUS/FFR
Boston Scientific Rotablator, Abiomed Impella
Inari FlowTriever, EKOS, Shockwave
QSight Inventory, Claris Vantageview, Omnicell
Mapping: Carto and other vendor systems
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
