Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice
Location: South Dennis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation:

  • Travel Candidates: $2,980 weekly (including stipend)

  • Local Candidates: $2,640 weekly

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals receiving hospice services. This role involves managing patient symptoms, offering emotional support, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and dignity for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care based on individualized hospice care plans

  • Monitor symptoms, administer medications, and ensure effective pain and symptom management

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and update care plans as needed

  • Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom control, and the end-of-life process

  • Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and their loved ones

  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other team members

  • Accurately document care in electronic medical records (EMR)

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences

  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and hospice care regulations

  • Be available for on-call responsibilities, if required

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts

  • 1–2 years of experience in hospice or palliative care preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Compassionate, empathetic, and capable of working independently

  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if community/home visits are involved)
