Job Title: Clinical Lab Technician

Shift: Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Job Type: Contract | Evening Shift

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Lab Technician to join a high-performing laboratory team in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of patient diagnostic testing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and retrieve patient information, test orders, quality control results, and instrument data in the laboratory information system

  • Process specimens per established protocols, including preparation for reference lab testing

  • Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot basic technical issues, documenting findings and actions

  • Conduct specimen analysis in accordance with lab policies and quality assurance guidelines

  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures

  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards

  • Manage time effectively to meet testing deadlines in a high-volume environment

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State license, permit, or eligibility to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred

  • Ability to accurately distinguish colors (essential for test interpretation)

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment health screening
