Job Title: Travel Emergency Room – RN
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Location: Hyannis, MA
Shift: Night Shift

Pay Information:

  • Travel Nurses: $2800 weekly

  • Local Candidates: $2520 weekly

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality care; document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in accordance with clinical standards and hospital policies.

  • Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic response and adverse effects in alignment with physician orders and protocols.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical, psychological, and social health factors; develop individualized care and discharge plans.

  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource on the unit, including taking charge nurse roles and precepting new staff.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in using electronic medical records (e.g., Epic) and nursing informatics tools.

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation to support communication among the healthcare team.

  • Provide patient and family education, advocate for patient safety, and ensure care aligns with ethical standards.

  • Actively participate in quality improvement projects, unit meetings, and continuing education (e.g., PCAC credits, emergency drills).

  • Follow infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols to maintain a secure environment.

  • Uphold professional standards, patient confidentiality, and represent the hospital with excellence in all community and workplace interactions.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred

  • Recent clinical experience (within the past 2 years) as an Emergency Tech, EMT, LPN, RN, or CNA

  • Proficiency in IV starts, medication administration, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring (to be demonstrated by end of novice training)

  • Completion of a certified de-escalation training course (required by end of training)

  • TNCC, ENPC, and PALS preferred
