Job Title: Ultrasound Sonographer
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Department: Non-Invasive Vascular Lab
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Pay Rate: $70 – $75 per hour (Travel rates available)
On-Call Requirement:

  • One weekday evening on-call every other week

  • One weekend on-call approximately every fifth week

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly proficient Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join a state-of-the-art Non-Invasive Vascular Lab. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment that emphasizes excellence in both vascular and general sonographic imaging, including OB/GYN and interventional radiology (IR) support.

The role involves active participation in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional assignments at affiliated locations, including outpatient clinics and regional hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform a variety of ultrasound exams, including general, OB/GYN, and interventional procedures

  • Execute a comprehensive range of vascular ultrasound studies, such as:

    • Upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex

    • Carotid duplex, bypass graft, and mesenteric artery evaluations

    • Renal artery duplex, vein mapping, fistula flow, and venous reflux studies

  • Accurately document and report diagnostic findings in line with lab protocols

  • Ensure procedures adhere to IAC-accredited lab standards

  • Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support clinical decision-making

Required Technical Proficiencies:

  • Full proficiency in the listed vascular exams

  • Strong competency in general and OB/GYN ultrasound

  • Experience with IR-guided procedures (preferred)

Preferred Certification:

  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of IAC accreditation compliance
