Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Delhi, NY 13753
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Extendable)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $78/hour
High School Diploma (HSD) required
CT Technologist Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Perform complex CT imaging procedures with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
Use clinical judgment to review and document patient history related to procedures; ensure information is accurately entered into PACS
Prepare, screen, and review contrast media questionnaires with patients or their family members; scan documentation into EPIC
Administer contrast media under physician direction and in compliance with exam protocols
Review and verify physician orders; clarify discrepancies with Radiologists or Referring Physicians as needed
Communicate with physicians to ensure CT protocols match patient needs and clinical questions
Verify insurance authorization for prescribed exams; coordinate with Finance for re-verification if changes are needed
Obtain and schedule external imaging (CDs) in EPIC to ensure comparison availability in PACS for radiology review
Provide exam copies to patients, physicians, or family members upon request
Evaluate diagnostic images for quality, proper identification, and completeness using PACS
Apply appropriate scanning techniques based on patient condition, clinical information, and safety protocols
Ensure patients are properly prepared for exams, including positioning and use of immobilization or shielding devices
Determine and administer correct contrast media type and dosage according to protocols
