Job Title: Sterile Supply Technician
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $24 – $26 per hour
Shifts Available:

• Shift 1: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

• Shift 2: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Sterile Supply Technician to support critical sterilization and decontamination processes for surgical and clinical equipment. This role ensures all medical instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized following proper protocols to maintain a safe and efficient healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, disinfect, wash, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays

• Follow aseptic techniques and perform accurate quality checks

• Operate sterilization equipment such as steam autoclaves, Steris, and Sterrad systems

• Assemble simple and complex surgical sets with precision

• Monitor and document all sterilization and decontamination processes

• Respond promptly to urgent and emergent supply requests from clinical staff

• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:

• Must have successfully completed a nationally accredited Central Service Technician exam and be certified as a Central Service Technician
  OR

  • Must provide evidence of at least 1 year of employment as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare facility

• Must pass pre-employment health screening

• Strong knowledge of sterilization practices and equipment operation

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification through a nationally accredited program is highly preferred
