Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Schedule:

  • Shift options: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Rotating schedule: Every other Saturday, every other weekend, rotating holidays and weekly shifts

Pay Rate:

  • Up to $2,500/week for local candidates (within 50 miles)

  • Up to $2,800/week for travelers (outside 50 miles)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new patients, develop measurable treatment goals for functional outcomes, and create appropriate therapy plans with thorough documentation

  • Conduct diagnostic tests (muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability) to assess patient impairments and prognoses

  • Deliver treatment using proper modalities and adjust plans based on patient progress through periodic re-evaluation

  • Document patient care and progress, family education, and interdisciplinary communication clearly and objectively

  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patient status and discharge planning

  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic procedures for continued care

  • Mentor new staff, guide PT Assistants, Aides, and students as needed

  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, and safety/infection control standards

  • Participate in continuing education, workshops, and in-service training for ongoing professional development

  • Maintain accurate daily statistical records of patient activity and billing

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (preferably in a clinical therapy setting)

  • Experience supervising or supporting junior staff is a plus


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program


Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

  • Documentation of Specialist Certification in a designated clinical focus area is highly desirable


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as a clinical resource within a specialized area of practice

  • Support management in developing and supervising services in the designated clinical specialty
