Work Requirements: Every other weekend & holidays as needed | No on-call

Overview:

A well-regarded healthcare facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience for a full-time contract role. The nurse will deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment, aligned with the highest clinical and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Implement, manage, and document individualized nursing care based on patient assessment and ongoing evaluation

  • Prioritize patient care needs through clinical judgment and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

  • Conduct initial and continuous assessments using functional health frameworks and clinical best practices

  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and ensure continuity of care

  • Advocate for and apply evidence-based nursing practices and care innovations

  • Maintain accurate, real-time documentation according to care standards and clinical priorities

  • Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with the professional nursing model and organization guidelines

  • Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned in support of patient and unit needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital

  • Strong background and competency in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patient care

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact license

  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
