Job Title: Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech)
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endoscopy Technician to assist in advanced endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will work directly alongside physicians in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of patient care, equipment management, and procedural support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during standard and advanced endoscopic procedures (ERCPs, EUS, POEMs, etc.)

• Prepare and position patients for procedures, confirming patient identity and readiness

• Set up and test all endoscopic equipment and instruments before procedures

• Support post-procedure clean-up, equipment checks, and supply replenishment

• Collect and label specimens accurately for lab submission

• Maintain endoscopy equipment and coordinate with Clinical Engineering for repairs or loaner requests

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards

• Document procedures as needed and ensure accurate communication across teams

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Endoscopy Technician

• At least 1 year assisting with advanced procedures such as ERCP, EUS, POEMs, Bronchs

• Proficient in handling Olympus Endoscopes

• Knowledge of endoscopy-related ultrasound equipment and procedures

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• BLS Certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Endoscopy Technician Certification

• Experience with ProVation MD documentation software

• ACLS Certification
