Job Title: Medical Assistant
Pay Rate: $20 – $24 per hour

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant to provide both front and back office support in a busy outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable with direct patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures in a fast-paced setting. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for examination
• Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Administer immunizations and assist with clinical procedures
• Take and record vital signs accurately in the EMR
• Perform EKGs and support occupational health evaluations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinical environment
• Work closely with healthcare providers and team members to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (excluding externships)
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Occupational Health experience is a plus
• Required skills: phlebotomy, EKG, POC testing, EMR proficiency
• Strong computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Must be detail-oriented and committed to supporting patient care and education
