Job Opportunity: Logistics Claims Senior Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Logistics Claims Senior Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting logistics operations for a major player in the prepared food division. This role is essential in resolving overage, shortage, damage (OS&D), and refusal claims reported by carriers, while ensuring timely and accurate processing to avoid costly delays and inefficiencies.
In this fast-paced, call center environment, you will interface directly with drivers and coordinate with various internal departments to validate and resolve logistics claims. Your work will directly influence key performance indicators (KPIs) used by the Distribution division and reported via Power BI dashboards.
Handle carrier claims for overages, shortages, damages, and refusals at the time of delivery
Engage with drivers via phone to gather claim information and resolve issues
Collaborate cross-functionally with Transportation Operations, FSQA, Plant Operations, Shipping, Customer Service, Warehousing, Product Movement, Deductions, and Sustainability teams
Maintain and update active worklists using High Radius
Conduct daily audits and contribute to Power BI performance reports
Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) is obtained and validated for every case
Process and validate donation receipts and oversee accessorial payments
Manage data in transportation and financial systems, including SAP TM, TES, and DB2
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
BA degree or ongoing pursuit is a plus
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of office clerical experience required (3 years preferred)
Background in logistics, especially OS&D claims or customer service, highly valuable
Familiarity with data analysis and collection is an asset
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional phone manner and effective negotiation skills
Clear and concise reporting/documentation capabilities
Strong conflict resolution and follow-up skills
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with High Radius, Power BI, SAP TM, TES, and DB2
Comfortable using call center software (e.g., Five9)
