Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician – CST
Location: Cooperstown, NY
Pay Rate: $50 to $55 per hour
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Certified Surgical Technician – CST to join our operating room team in Cooperstown, NY. This role is essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and effective surgical procedures by supporting the surgical team before, during, and after operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field, instruments, and equipment.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical tools and supplies.
Collaborate with OR staff to ensure a smooth and safe surgical environment.
Participate in pre- and post-operative room setup and cleanup.
Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required (NBSTSA or equivalent).
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Minimum 1 year of recent operating room experience preferred.
Current BLS certification required.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
