Job Title: RN – Orthopedic Surgery Unit
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Pay Rate: $45 – $48/hour (based on experience)
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Multiple Shifts available
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Orthopedic Surgery Unit. This role involves providing care to patients recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and other orthopedic procedures. The RN will work closely with surgical teams, physical therapists, and case managers to ensure smooth recovery and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver post-operative care for orthopedic patients, including joint replacements and trauma
• Monitor surgical sites, manage pain protocols, and assess for complications
• Collaborate with physical therapy teams to support mobilization goals
• Provide education to patients and families regarding recovery and home care
• Document care thoroughly using electronic health record systems
Qualifications
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years in acute medical-surgical nursing
• Preferred: Prior experience in orthopedic post-op units and Epic EHR
Education & Certification:
• Required:
o Diploma in Nursing
o Ohio RN License or Compact
o BLS Certification (AHA)
• Preferred:
o BSN
