Job Title: GIS Data Architect/Analyst
Location: Remote (Louisiana-based preferred)
Duration: 3+ Years (Contract)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a GIS Data Architect/Analyst to support a long-term geospatial data initiative. This role involves advanced data modeling, integration of AI/ML technologies, and optimization of spatial data systems with a strong focus on linear referencing and large-scale data warehousing. Ideal candidates will have both geospatial and data science expertise, and be comfortable working remotely in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement GIS data models tailored for geospatial applications.
Develop and maintain data warehouses, especially in support of linear referencing systems.
Apply advanced Linear Referencing Methods to enhance transportation and asset management systems.
Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, including:
Machine Learning (ML)
Deep Learning
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Generative Pre-training Transformer architectures (e.g., GPT)
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with Safe Software’s Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), including:
Readers and Writers for cross-platform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Proficiency in scripting and coding to support ETL automation and data transformations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in GIS data architecture and analytics.
Strong background in both geospatial data and modern AI/ML technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a remote team structure.
