Job Title: Purchasing Agent – Logistics & Procurement Professional

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$21 per hour (W2)
Position Overview: A reputable organization based in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support its procurement operations. This role is responsible for executing tactical sourcing activities and providing day-to-day procurement support to ensure cost-effective and efficient purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will help manage requisitions, vendor relationships, and procurement inquiries, while driving process improvements and compliance with internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and process purchase requisitions in line with company policies
Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing
Redirect spend to preferred suppliers to maximize savings and contract usage
Respond to procurement-related help desk inquiries using established playbooks
Analyze spend trends and market data to recommend sourcing strategies
Support vendor rationalization efforts and process optimization initiatives
Document and implement best practices to improve procurement workflows
Perform other procurement duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
2–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Experience with SAP (Ariba, S4) or other ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
