Job Title: Freight Operations Specialist

📍 Location: Springdale, AR
🕒 Duration: 3+ Months

Shift:

• 1st shift: Sunday–Thursday, 8 AM – 5 PM
• Training: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (May include Sat/Sun to shadow off-shift staff)

SUMMARY:

The Freight Operations Specialist is responsible for managing carrier execution, tracking shipments, and resolving delivery exceptions. The role requires strong coordination skills and a deep understanding of freight workflows to ensure service reliability and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

FULL DESCRIPTION:

• Monitor freight movements and proactively address delays.
• Maintain accurate freight status updates using systems like FourKites and TES.
• Work closely with sales and warehouse teams to meet customer shipping requirements.
• Leverage tools like Retailix and One Network to coordinate scheduling and dock times.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process enhancements.
• Ensure all communication is timely and documented per SOP.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in logistics or transportation

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, or dispatch roles

Computer Skills:

• Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel

Communication Skills:

• Clear, concise verbal/written communication
• Conflict resolution and high-volume multitasking required
