Job Title: Customer Service Associate

Location: Springdale, AR

Shift:
The schedule is: 1st shift Sun-Thurs, 8 am – 5 pm.
Training will be Mon-Fri, 8 am – 5 pm. May include a Sat/Sun shift to work with an off-shift team member for additional training.

Job Description

Summary:

The Customer Service Associate (CSA) has the primary responsibility of managing the relationship between the carrier, customer, and sales groups for their assigned accounts. The CSA builds this relationship by gaining an in-depth understanding of the customer's organization, product needs, processes, and procedures and partnering with the Sales team to deliver top-tier customer service to all accounts.

Full Description:

  • Acts as the primary contact between the company's Supply Chain and assigned external customers.
  • Handles all aspects of customer relationships, including analyzing incoming emails and resolving issues promptly.
  • Builds and maintains positive and effective relationships with key internal contacts.
  • Utilizes multiple dispatch systems (TES, LME, Four Kites, OTR) and external scheduling systems (Retailix, Retail Link, UNFI, One Network, etc.) to troubleshoot for all business units.
  • Maintains knowledge of internal company policies, procedures, and software applications.
  • Keeps informed about the organizational structure, procedures, and needs of external customers.
  • Leverages available resources to identify cost-effective solutions that address the needs of the company and the customer.
  • Develops and applies innovative solutions to address challenges affecting delivery processes, ensuring accurate and efficient product delivery while maintaining a positive representation of the company and customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of business experience in transportation or logistics (not just regular customer service!).
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, as most communication is conducted via email (up to or possibly exceeding 300 per day).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills; conflict management, multitasking, positive attitude, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential.
